Well, hello there! How nice that you found your way here 🙂
I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait for the summer!
I’m drowning in retro patterns and fabrics, it’s high time I do something about it 🙂
So, here’s the first batch of fabrics, my haul from the last Dutch market in Potsdam:
From left to right:
- a pink cotton from the „no clue what I was thinking“ collection.
- a really thick black cotton with awesome flowers and a wee dash of stretch. It might become a Butterick 5747.
- a lightblue cotton with a rather small dark blue / white print. It will probably be a Butterick 6582.
- a teal(?) cotton with a flower print that reminds me of Hawaii. Thus, it will be a neckholder, probably Simplicity 3823.
For the lightblue B6582 I totally love what Justine did with her version:
The piping is such an awesome idea! Please take a moment to actually go to her blogpost to appreciate all of the other photos of the dress. So stylish 🙂
So… I’ll have to meditate about whether I want lightblue, dark blue, or white piping.
As for the Hawaii dress…
I did a muslin. It was a full size too large, even though I measured myself carefully :-/
After sewing four well-fitting dresses straight out of the envelope, this was a low and unexpected blow 🙁
